This is the old way
This is the new way
We have many years of experience in the steel, oil, gas and wind industries, and have spent many frustrated hours sealing MCTs with wooden boarding or duct tape in different projects.
We know that this product saves a lot of time and increases safety during construction and modification.
While pulling cables in any installation that has multiple cable transits installed, there is always an issue keeping the MCT closed at all times until the MCT is fully packed.
Today the solution is to use wooden boarding or tape.
The problem is that it is not always done and that is both a safety and a quality problem, especially for rooms that need to be pressurised and in floors where there is a danger of objects falling through.
When the MCT is located in floors it is often covered with wooden boarding to start with, and when the first cable is pulled through the MCT the wooden boards are removed, and you have to start seal it with something else.
It is expedient to keep the MCT covered at all times so while pulling cables the MCT will be taped a lot of times until it is completely sealed with blocks.
It is the same issue with cabinets that contain multiple cable transits for installing cables.
To seal a MCT with tape take about 30 minutes in total. That means that our product has paid itself the first time it is used.
With our solution it takes a few seconds to make sure the MCT is closed at all times. It prevents things from falling through the floor and prevents dirt from penetrating the MCT in walls and cabinets. It also keeps the rooms pressurised if that is required.
Because the product is easy to install and to adjust, the MCT will always be closed in a safe and effective way.
The product fits all frames in the market, for example, Roxtec, Brattberg and Øgland, and can be used all the way through the installation.
It stays in the MCT during the whole project until it is time to seal it completely.
This product saves time, increases safety and quality.
